The motel's owner is a lovely person, extremely helpful, and very friendly. You couldn't ask for a better host. Suggestions on where to go and what to do is always forthcoming and helpful. Additionally, any issues you might have are promptly attended to.
The motel is older but it has a chic feel to it. If you like vintage style and the retro look, you will be enthusiastic about this motel's decor. The carports next to each room are awesome. It's definitely a step back in time and it's clean as well. Everything pretty much well maintained. It's an interesting décor with a 50s twist.
The rooms are a decent size. In fact, they are larger than your average hotel room. The two and three bedroom units have two bathrooms. If you are traveling with friends or family to the vicinity you will find enough space for everyone without feeling overcrowded.
There are no real eating establishments in the area. You will find a few fast food joints, but for real restaurant dining, there is nothing.
The motel area is a bit dodgy, but you don't feel terribly unsafe. It's not exactly a "bad" area, just questionable. You can certainly feel fine leaving your car, locked of course, in the well positioned car parking shelter.
You may get a whiff of dog urine in the lobby area. This may be due to the owner's little dog. There is no housekeeping; however, you will receive fresh towels and your bed made if you ask. Seeing that the motel is old, the bathroom has no cabinets, and the outlets are limited in the unit. The linens may have holes in them and some stains but clean.
