Positive Reviews
positive:
Good basic accommodation and value.
Rooms are clean and simply decorated and furnished. They represent excellent value and contain all the basics for you to enjoy your stay. A major plus is that bed linen and towels are readily changed on a regular basis.l.
positive:
Breakfast is provided.
The on-site breakfast, served in your room, is a bonus and saves the hassle of getting bathed and dressed to go to a cafe. It can fall down though, if you're on a tight schedule … and breakfast is served late!
positive:
Good location and staff.
It's a good location with easy access to a number of local attractions. Top of the list must be the bars, restaurants and beaches of Surfers Paradise. They're about 15 minutes away and the tram stop is close to the motel. Members of staff are friendly and happy to offer advice and assistance on all aspects of your stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No sound insulation.
Dividing walls between the rooms are very thin so it's quite easy to hear the neighbours' TV and conversations. This, of course, is a day and night problem - so it can affect what should be a good night's sleep.
negative:
In need of an update.
It's not an acceptable excuse to stress the cheapness of the tariff. The place is getting rather dated and potential guests expect certain minimum standards before they part with any money at all. Currently, it's verging on the OK, but someone, somewhere should be planning some early renovations to keep pace with the competition.
negative:
Wi-Fi goes up in smoke.
Wi-Fi is a frustrating joke and you really shouldn't rely on it. It's also annoying to see so many people hanging around smoking … in a non-smoking motel!
