About Couples Tower Isle
The four-star Couples Tower Isle is a couples-only hotel set on the coastline of Ocho Rios, located along a stretch of white sand beach and turquoise sea, with it's own private island just offshore.
Each suite has private balcony with either garden or sea views, beds are kingsize and rooms also include a minibar, coffee maker, air conditioning, flat screen TV and safety deposit box.
Hotel facilities at Couples Tower Isle include a spa, four pools and four Jacuzzi, tennis, squash and racquetball courts and a fitness centre. Yoga, pilates, meditation and spinning classes are held regularly.
Guests can choose from six restaurants serving Asian, Italian and traditional Jamaican cuisine. There are also four bars, and drinks service on the beach and 'au naturel' private island.
Kingston is 77km away, while the infamous Runaway Bay is 34km from the hotel.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Completely all-inclusive
For those looking for a stress-free holiday, Couples Tower Isle provides complete all-inclusive service. Accommodation, all meals and drinks, activities- including scuba diving, airport transfers and some excursions are all included in the cost. There is also a no-tipping policy so guests need not carry any cash at all.
positive:
Excellent meal selection
With six restaurants to choose from; both relaxed beach-side dining or more formal options, there should be something for everyone. Guests can opt to eat in their suite or, for a special occasion, request to dine on the hotel's private island (for an additional fee).
positive:
Relaxed ambience
Previous guests have only good things to say about the staff at the resort. Friendly and outgoing, they, combined with the beautiful beachfront location, create a relaxed ambience at Couples Tower Isle. Visit the private island offshore to get away from it all (but only if you don't mind losing your inhibitions en-route as it is a clothes-free zone).
Negative Reviews
negative:
Intermittent Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi at the hotel can be intermittent and, even when it is working, connection can be slow.
negative:
Venturing further afield can be pricey
The hotel runs regular excursions on specific days and times- including the popular catamaran trip, but those guests who opt to visit spots at times convenient to them, may encounter expensive taxi fares.
negative:
Rooms; nothing special
While they are contemporary with all the mod-cons, rooms are nothing special when compared to the common areas in the hotel. The resort has been a mainstay on the island for decades and, while modernised several times since, common spaces are still hubs of understated elegance.
