The hotel is in an area that makes it easy to walk to many sights in San Francisco. If you do not have a car, the BART station at Montgomery Street is only a three minute walk away. The neighborhood is safe and guests liked the nearby restaurants and nightlife.

Rooms full of amenities
Clean and nice rooms with a nice decor and plenty of space is how guests describe their accommodations. Little luxury amenities like a japanese toilet add extra value to the rooms. The beds are comfortable and the bedding and pillows are nice. Designer toiletries and bathrobes add some extra luxury to your bathroom ritual.

Staff is excellent
The staff provides excellent customer service and guests feel very welcome in this location. From the front desk to restaurant and bar, the experience of most guests was very positive and they felt well taken care of. Do not hesitate to ask for sightseeing recommendations or directions.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noise might be an issue
The building is historic and not very soundproof. Some guests had noise complaints from other rooms or the street. A good tip is to chose a room higher up. You might just want to pack a pair of earplugs to be on the safe side.
negative:
Some rooms offer no view
Some rooms seem to go towards the inner courtyard and therefore do not offer much of a view. You might want to ask for a room with view of Union Square if you want to enjoy the feel of being in San Francisco.
negative:
Wi-Fi costs extra
There is an extra fee to use Wi-Fi for hotel guests. In this day and age, this is probably not very common. You might want to use free Wi-Fi which is offered by many restaurants in the area.
