Positive Reviews
positive:
Outstanding staff.
Most guests give the front desk, housekeeping, and wait staff rave reviews for their personable and professional customer service. Several guests were pleased to find that the reception staff learned their names and asked thoughtful questions about their stay, while younger guests were delighted to be treated like VIPs at check-in.
positive:
Clean, spacious rooms.
The rooms are often described as sparkling clean, with comfortable furnishings and plenty of elbow room. Guests in the Executive level rooms generally feel they offer particularly good value for money, as Wi-Fi is included in the rates and the lounge offers a nice complimentary Continental breakfast. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant generally receives high marks, too, with something for everyone.
positive:
Very fit for the fit.
Guests who like to exercise while travelling appreciate the fitness centre on site, which offers reasonably new models of all the basic equipment, as well as a well maintained indoor pool, sauna, and steam room.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Free Wi-Fi for members only.
Wi-Fi is free for members of the chain's loyalty program, and membership is free. However, several guests were disappointed in this policy and felt it took away from their sense of "value for money." Others found they were unable to access the free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
negative:
Tasteful but basic decor...
While most guests are pleased with their rooms, a smaller group found the decor a bit tired or dated, particularly in comparison with the very attractive and modern lobby. Others felt the hotel was more suited to business travel than a romantic getaway.
negative:
Paid parking and empty minibars...
Several guests were annoyed by the extra charge for parking given the ample space and the hotel's Enderby location. Other guests were disappointed to find that the "minibar" was simply an empty mini refrigerator.
