Hotel UR Azul Playa (Palma de Majorca, Spain)

The hotel’s location right by the long stretch of beach and promenade make it the ideal location for sporty types. Whether it be a gentle stroll down the promenade or an early morning jog along the beach, the location offers a scenic and spacious area to exercise in.

The hotel is right on the seafront making it perfect for sunbathing and swimming. It is very pleasant to stroll along the promenade towards the harbour. It is also very near to the centre of Palma and takes fifteen-minutes by car or half an hour on public transport.

The food is good, but not spectacular. There is a rather limited choice and considering that, the price charged is rather steep. The breakfast on offer is good, but adequate rather than being overly-abundant.

Some of the rooms are on the small side. However, this is dependant on which rooms are booked, superior rooms are spacious with large terraces. Rooms come with a walk-in shower, but some have a sink located in the bedroom by the bed, rather than in the bathroom. All rooms however, are modern and clean.

While on the beach the flights leaving Palma airport are visible, along with the accompanying aircraft noise. Planes take off every five to ten minutes. The noise from this appears to be an issue only when outside, with the rooms’ glazing in the hotel blocking out much of the airplane noise.
