Positive Reviews
positive:
Great location
Seemingly above all else, guests enjoy the location of the Travelodge Hastings. You'll be able to walk to many of the town's attractions, including the seafront and pier. Dining options in the immediate area seem rather limited, but a 20-minute walk brings lots of choices into play.
positive:
Good quality rooms
Guests typically find the rooms at this hotel are of an acceptable standard. While far from fancy, the general consensus is that they do the job. The beds are often described as comfortable and the Wi-Fi appears to be reliable. Some guests do mention that the bathrooms could use some attention, but this doesn't tend to be a deal breaker.
positive:
Friendly staff
The staff at the Travelodge Hastings seem to be very welcoming and friendly toward guests and appear observant and proactive in their manner, for example by asking guests who arrive with a baby whether they would like a cot.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms can feel hot
Although otherwise comfortable, the hotel rooms are sometimes described as a little too warm. It does seem that the lack of air-conditioning can be a problem, especially over the summer months. Thankfully, the windows can be opened.
negative:
Extra costs
While many guests are of the opinion that this hotel offers good value for money, some do express disappointment by having to pay extra for on-site parking and extended Wi-Fi access. There's an obvious preference for these costs to be included in the room rate.
negative:
Dining may disappoint
Although many guests were happy enough with the standard of breakfast and evening meals, others were not quite as impressed. Some guests thought the breakfast was poor quality and other mention that the dinner menu lacks sufficient choice.
