Most guests have found the rooms to be cozy, clean and comfortable, especially those visiting more recently. Guests also say the hotel is in a peaceful location, and is quiet and restful.

Although driving to nearby attractions is necessary, guests say these are short drives which make the location of the hotel perfect for visiting Salem and other places of interest. The proximity to the water is also very appealing to many guests.

Guests praise the favorable rates for staying at the hotel even during busy periods when they would normally expect to pay more.

Some guests had expected a complimentary continental breakfast and were disappointed to find that food - including breakfast - costs extra. Others felt that, although they were aware the hotel does charge for breakfast, the breakfast should be provided for free.

Although the vast majority of guests find their rooms to be more than adequate for their stay, a small number of guests reported issues with their rooms. The most common among these was that the rooms they were given were smaller than expected, or in a worse area of the hotel than they would have liked. A few guests also reported unexpected cancellations or room changes.
