The Wheatsheaf is a hotel located in the town centre of Corbridge and a short walk from the Corbridge Roman Town at Hadrian's Wall. Having its own bar and restaurant, the hotel is housed in a traditional building that is in keeping with the look and feel of the lovely town. The six en suite guestrooms are recently refurbished and individually decorated. Artworks of local artists, Freeview TV, phones, and coffee makers are available in all rooms. Parking is available for guests at the hotel. The hotel is smoke free. Small weddings and other special events can be hosted and catered to by the hotel. The Wheatsheaf pub and restaurant serves complimentary breakfast to guests. Guests can also get other meals or a drink here. Aydon Castle, the Hexham Abbey and Hexham Market Place are some of the local attractions.
The Wheatsheaf hotel is ideally located to explore the area and to wander about town, thought guests. The hotel is close to the historical Roman town, and is also very conveniently for the charming boutique style shopping, coffee shops and lovely buildings of the town.
The hotel rooms and bathrooms have been completely refurbished recently and some guests were surprised at the quality of the accommodation on offer. Rooms are a fair size, comfortable and very clean, said a great many guests. Rooms also have fans; which are great for hot days. Rooms also offer good views.

It is possible to hear the plumbing from other rooms and to hear noises of guests in the rooms above. Some also mentioned problems with an extractor fan and noise from the live entertainment offered by the hotel.
A few guests pointed out that breakfast is served only till 9 AM in the morning, which is inconvenient for those looking to have a bit of lie in; especially on weekends. One or two guests also felt that the vegetarian options available for breakfast were rather limited. Though overall the food served is said to be good, some of the wait staff come in for criticism from guests. The service was slow according to one guest; another said the staff was gruff.
