Hotel Texas (Rome, Italy)

The genuine friendliness and competence of the staff are often commented on. Being a budget hotel, the facilities can sometimes seem basic. But guests mention again and again that the attitude of the staff tends to more than make up for this.

Guests can't rave enough about the location. Budget travellers, especially, like the fact that it is within walking distance of Rome's Termini Station, where intercity trains arrive and depart. Rome's main attractions are also within walking distance. Also often mentioned is that guests consider the area very safe. Safety can sometimes be a concern in Rome, but guests were comfortable walking around the neighbourhood day and night.

Budget travellers do not have many great options in the heart of the city. They find that usually what is good is not within their budget, and what is within their budget is not good. Many guests have commented that the Texas Hotel is one of the rare places to which that doesn't apply

While most rooms have private bathrooms, many of them are very small indeed. In some guests views, comically so. Several times it has been mentioned that there is barely any space to turn around in the shower.

While guests acknowledge that this is not a luxury hotel, many felt that the rooms could have been a bit better decorated, without really adding to the cost.

The rooms don't seem to have good sound insulation. As a result guests complain that they are disturbed by noise from both adjacent rooms and the street outside.
