Hotel Spindrift Inn (Monterey, USA)

The staff at the hotel are personable and informal. There are no haughty-taughty airs. They are modest, which makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. They are supreme professionals.

The rooms are attractively decorated. Having a fireplace in the room is romantic and great for visitors in the winter time. There are comfy chairs and window seats where you can view the beautiful ocean or just sit and read. The beds and other furnishings are nice with unique designs.

The location is convenient and lovely. The hotel is near nice restaurants too. If you have a room facing the ocean it's great. However, you could get stuck with a room facing Cannery Row, but the room is still nice if you like observing tourists.

There is no parking on the property and no amenities. For example, there is no swimming pool or workout area. A nice welcome basket in the room would be a nice touch. Most quality beachfront hotels have this.

You probably think that the location of the hotel would be far from the tourist scene; however, it's not. You will find plenty of tourists in the area. Cannery Row is not that special either. There's not enough distinctive shops, art, etc.

You're forced to eat your breakfast in your room as the hotel has no breakfast area. Either you will feel pampered or annoyed. You have to hear the continual knocking on other visitors doors along with the word "breakfast." The breakfast is nothing to write home about either. The coffee seems like it's watered down and the fruit are not tasty or ripe enough.
