Hotel Southmead Guesthouse Ltd (Llanelli, United Kingdom)

Nicely maintained, modern in design and clean; rooms at Southmead are very acceptable. There’s also a nice garden at the back, with tables and chairs.

The main road is busy but tends to die down at night so no real street noise problems; even in those rooms facing on to the street.

From the guest house there are shops in one direction and a super little restaurant, Sosban, in the other. It’s not far from the beach either so the location is spot on.

If only the kitchen was as well stocked as the menu suggests! Too many missing items, inability to supply simple requirements such as poached eggs ... and milk and juice that is of the long life variety. Breakfast here needs a shake up and they need to ensure that they’ve got all the items available to fulfill what the menu promises.

They’ve tried to create as many spaces as possible but the result is that it is very cramped. Naturally, the guest house shouldn’t have to administer this free space but there needs to be a system so that all guests can get in and out whenever they wish.

It isn’t in the bedrooms and only seems to work in the dining area.
