Despite other misgivings about this hotel, the majority of guests comment favourably about the standard of customer service, often describing the hotel staff as genuinely friendly and eager to please. Reception staff, in particular, attract numerous positive comments.

For the price paid, many guests are of the opinion that they enjoyed good value for money at this hotel. Room rates do seem to vary but are generally reasonable. Plus, you won’t pay extra for Wi-Fi, parking or a basic continental breakfast.

The included leisure facilities such as the fitness centre and indoor pool and sauna are a nice addition to this hotel. Such facilities tend to impress guests, especially as this is otherwise very much a budget property.

Although the rooms are by no means terrible, a number of guests do comment that a little refurbishment wouldn't go amiss. Additionally, in-room air-conditioning would be a welcome addition to the choice of included amenities, as would better quality beds.

A number of guests mention that they thought the noise level in and around the hotel was a problem. Specifically, some rooms were too near the bar and the smoking area outside. Guests in these rooms were less than pleased by the location of their rooms due to the added noise. Also, the hotel is near a rail line.

The breakfast service is a sore point for some guests at this hotel. While it’s fair to say that some were perfectly happy, enough guests describe the service as shambolic and the speed at which food is replenished as too slow to make you wonder whether there are serious issues in this area.
