Hotel Quality Inn Tucson (Tucson, USA)

The hotel is easy to find, just off 1-10. The first problem that’s usually experienced, particularly with large vehicles and trucks … is parking. Not here. There’s plenty of space for all types of vehicle.

Staff members are friendly and super efficient. The lobby is immaculately clean and welcoming with a small seating area. Check in is swift, efficient and hassle free.

Rooms are a decent size and beds and bedding are comfortably relaxing. There’s hot water in abundance for bathing and showers. Breakfast is varied with plenty of hot and cold options to please everyone. There’s plenty of juice too ... but, strangely, no fresh fruit here.

Vending machines are empty. No excuse. All the hotel has to do is ensure that products are replenished. The telephone doesn’t work and there’s a fault on the shower which spurts out and floods the floor. It’s always worrying to see loose wires hanging out of the wall. (Prepare to be worried here!) Not surprisingly, there are many missing ceiling tiles missing – as a result of their attempts to find the cable- related problems.

Repeated requests for towels are ignored. There is obviously a towel drought here which needs to be put right immediately. The hotel must be able to supply a reasonable number of towels.

The exterior signage is really poor. Like much of the rest of the hotel, furniture has seen better days. Security is non-existent. There’s no key to the bedroom door and night-time security relies on you remembering to put the chain across. *Sleep well!
