Positive Reviews
positive:
Nicely located for exploring the city attractions
With Princess Garden as a base, you're close to shopping, restaurants, nightlife hotspots, and cultural attractions. Plenty is conveniently close by within walking distance, but several train stations are also near, should you want to use public transit. You have a nice view of the area, and don't have to travel far from the hotel to experience the city.
positive:
Decent accommodations for budget traveling
This is a budget hotel that's great for business travelers, small groups, and those that need a short stop in between destinations. It's a decent option when you're looking to save money, and don't need much more than a bed and bathroom while away from home.
positive:
Safe environment with cordial and friendly staff
Staff are very pleasant and welcoming, and do what they can to help make your stay a happy one. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable, and the environment feels safe and secure, especially for solo travelers. You feel confident walking about and exploring the area.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms and bathrooms are smaller than expected
Expectations for the room and bathroom sizes are lowered upon arrival. They're not spacious, so it may be tough comfortably laying out luggage. It can also feel cramped depending on how many are in your party, or if you are tall.
negative:
Bathrooms aren't clean and ventilation is poor
The indoor ventilation is poor, with inefficient air conditioning, and odd smells permeating the rooms at times. Bathrooms are not spotless, with clear signs of previous use, which is off-putting and insulting.
negative:
Hotel is run down, drab, and in need of a makeover
Although this is budget lodging, it's still too dingy and run down for the price. The whole place could use a serious makeover, from new furnishings and fixtures, to fresh paint and flooring.
