Rooms are exceptionally clean, well maintained and pleasantly decorated. Heating is efficient, so they are nice and warm too.
From the moment you arrive to be met by the warm welcome from the owners, it's quite clear that they are going to devote all their efforts to ensuring that you enjoy best value and maximum enjoyment during your stay.
There is the old, not unusual, problem with an unreliable supply of hot water in the shower. Breakfast is OK but limited in actual choice - and served within a very rigid timescale. It's also served a tad late for those wanting to get out on the beach. Some upgrading in the rooms, particularly in the areas of beds and mattresses, would be a good idea.
There's no on-site parking, but the owners are happy to direct you to public parking a few minutes' walk away. Newquay is recognised as being something of a surfing capital. It's perfectly reasonable for them not to allow wet and sandy suits and equipment into the B&B. They do, though, appreciate that this creates a problem for guests - so, there's secure storage space to the rear of the building.
Newquay is a busy, noisy place and known for its late night party scene. The B&B is in a great, central position - but the downside is an element of noise at night.
