Situated in an incredibly central location, right besides Rome’s main Termini Station, Overseas Hostel is a small property offering simple budget accommodation with air conditioning.
The 20 rooms have tiled floors to help with the cooling on hot summer days and free Wi-Fi. There are rooms with both private and shared bathroom facilities. Some rooms also have mini-fridges.
Reception staff can assist with providing local information and laundry services.
There are no dining facilities at the hostel, but a couple nearby. Hua Qiao Restaurant is right next door and known for its tasty and authentic Chinese dishes.
The proximity of the Termini Metro Station to Overseas B&B means that much of the city’s best attractions can be accessed easily and quickly. Guests who brought along their walking shoes will find the Trevi Fountain a 30-minute walk from the hostel, while the still impressive ruins of the coliseum are 22-minutes away.

This unfussy family-run guesthouse in central Rome appealed to many visitors as it provided modern rooms with bright decor and parquet or tiled floors. Although the rooms were reportedly simple, plenty of reviewers felt they were sufficiently comfortable and clean. Budget-conscious travellers were keen on the low-cost room rates and felt they got reasonable value for money.

It appealed to guests that they were just across the road from Termini, Rome’s main train station offering buses and metro trains across the city plus express services to Fiumicino Airport. Drivers were pleased that public parking was available nearby. Moreover, many of the Eternal City’s best-known landmarks were located within moderate walking distance such as the Coliseum and Roman Forum. Another plus was the proximity of shops and dining options.
