Positive Reviews
positive:
Central Location.
You can easily walk to city centre Liverpool in about twenty-five minutes from this industrial dock locale, and free parking is easily found down the road. Public transportation links are a stroll away as well. Views are over the Mersey River and surrounding area. Quiet for the most part, but there are occasional rowdy/impolite guests/passers-by. (FYI: Although central, some felt walking alone was a risk here)
positive:
Charming Male Reception Staff.
One of the receptionists is friendly and helpful, cheerfully checking guests in and showing them to their rooms. This place could use more like him.
positive:
Basic, No Frills Accommodation.
Comfortable and clean for the most part with cosy beds, decent bathrooms, hot showers and plenty of additional amenities available such as hair dryers, irons, towels - most for extra hire fees. Some actually liked the quaint building and decor and felt it had lots of character.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Scary Staircase.
This is a narrow, winding, crazy staircase. Be careful and hold on, especially if you are carrying large or heavy luggage.
negative:
Not Soundproof.
You can hear the conversations in the room next door easily. If you get rowdy types in there, don't plan on sleeping much.
negative:
Screaming for a Refurb.
This place reminds some travellers of a hostel rather than a hotel and the prices are much too high for what is provided. Outdated decor and amenities throughout the premises, holes in walls, cobwebs in the corners, unlock-able windows (not safe at all) and most areas need a good scrub. You have to pay extra for towels. Wi-Fi doesn't work. Breakfast may or may not be available, even though this is called a "Bed and Breakfast" - it costs an additional fee whenever it is available. Bathrooms may need a splash of bleach before you feel comfortable in them.
