Negative Reviews
negative:
Tired rooms that need some TLC.
Many guests have said that the rooms at the Northern Star are outdated and are in need of being upgraded. In addition, furnishings in some of the rooms were stated as being a little worse for wear – including the beds, which made sleeping uncomfortable for some visitors.
negative:
Small en-suite with shower problems.
While the small en-suite space was manageable for most, the shower was a bigger problem for previous guests. Plenty have lambasted the water pressure of the showers, while the temperature of the water was also troublesome.
negative:
Noise pollution at night.
As the hotel is close to the nightlife, it is only natural that the commotion from such establishments can be heard. Sadly, some guests reported that the soundproofing in a number of the rooms was not good enough to prevent the noise pollution from disrupting their sleep.
