Many guests found the location handy, despite not being right in the center of Geneva. You get a free pass to use Geneva's extensive public transport network; the nearest stop is 100 meters from the hotel. Many guests said they found it easy travelling into the center or airport from the NH Rex hotel for business or leisure. Being in a quiet residential area, reviewers mostly found it to be peaceful.

There were plenty of positive remarks about the courteous and attentive personnel. The Swiss are famed for attention to quality and detail, but a few visitors found service to be a little slow at times; for example when checking-in. However, this was not a widely reported issue.

Geneva features regularly on lists of the world's most expensive cities so cheap accommodation is hard to come by. Quite a few guests described their stay at the NH Rex hotel as providing value for money relative to similar quality hotels nearer the city center.

There have been accounts from reviewers claiming they saw stains on carpets and furnishings which appeared worn out or in need of replacement. You might find the hotel's small elevator a bit limiting if you have lots of bulky luggage.
