About Hotel Minella & Leisure Centre
Situated conveniently close to Clonmel town centre, Hotel Minella & Leisure Centre Hotel nevertheless has something of a country house setting and atmosphere. It offers extensive sports and leisure facilities.
The rooms have a bit of a classical feel to them, and feature en-suite bathrooms, hairdryers, flat screen TV’s, tea/coffee stations, work desks and telephones.
The principle feature of the Hotel Minella & Leisure Centre Hotel is undoubtedly its extensive leisure centre. It includes massive indoor pool, full gym and tennis court. There is even a spa area with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and treatments available.
An all-day menu is available at the bar, but the dining room offers a more exclusive environment and menu and offers a large selection of international favourites.
The centre of Clonmel is only 1.3 miles to the west. Clonmel is regarded as the home of Greyhound racing in Ireland, and the track is just across the river from Hotel Minella & Leisure Centre.

Excellent leisure centre
The leisure centre is, of course a central feature of the hotel. While open to local members as well, hotel guest do get access. They seemed to be very happy with the facilities on offer, and found that it was no trouble to fit in a workout or quick swim between other activities.

Beautiful setting and grounds
Considering how close the hotel is to Clonmel's centre guests were very impressed with the lovely grounds and outlook. The hotel has extensive grounds that were said to be well maintained, and has a gorgeous outlook over the River Suir, which guests found very peaceful.

Helpful and accommodating staff
It was not merely that staff were welcoming and friendly, which guest said they were, but that they truly went above and beyond duty to help guests out. Several mentioned that they ere most flexible and accommodating when small issues came up that required a minor “rule” to be broken - all in the interest of guest comfort and sanity.

Some problems with the food
While reviews were almost inevitably mixed, the majority of guests seemed not to enjoy he food offered very much. There were several problems, like breakfast being cold, or dinner being much too expensive which tended to leave them with a bad impression.

Several guests mentioned that they thought the décor looked very tired. It wasn't that they found any problems with function, but rather that it was clear the hotel hadn't been updated in ages, and really needed one to stay relevant.

Several guests said that, while they enjoyed their say, they had got a special rate and would not have been happy with what they received had they paid full price.
