Always available to help with ferry tickets etc; staff are really friendly and keep the hotel running like clockwork.

A great trip is that, by bus, to Anacapri and the famous Blue Grotto. It’s best not to be tempted by the more expensive boat trips as they tend not to actually enter the Grotto.

It comes down to your choice and budget but some rooms include a safe and refrigerator. Elsewhere, these things might come with an extra charge, but they’re free here!

In a line from the famous Gracie Fields song, On The Isle of Capri: ‘She whispered softly, ‘tis best not to linger’…. You may feel that way about the rooms. Hard beds, old and scuffed furniture, iffy electrical stuff and dated décor crying out for a refurb.

This area too doesn’t lend itself to maximum guest satisfaction. It’s dated and the air conditioning isn’t up to the job.

Rooms near the lift endure, throughout the night, that clunking sound that all lifts seem to make, accompanied by the sound of merry guests noisily returning to their rooms.
