Hotel La Quinta by Wyndham Joplin (Joplin, USA)

Staff members are very friendly and helpful. They are extremely hard-working and succeed in their efforts to keep guests completely happy.

Breakfast is excellent and the choices are quite wide ranging. Also, the restaurant, Old Chicago, has an appetizing choice of pizzas, wings etc; for lunch and later dining. Nearby restaurants are few and far between but, with these on-site choices, this isn't a major problem. Texas Roadhouse is, though, just across the street.

This is a great stopover hotel for cross country travelers; very pet friendly, there's a large pet area for them to do … you know what.

Because the hotel is built on a hillside, 2nd floor rooms are at ground floor level. Worryingly, windows are easily accessed and opened. *Third floor is better!

The exercise room results in sweating guests. There seems to be a lack of disinfectant and deodorizing features. Pheww!.

The parking lot is constantly busy, resulting in some noise. Ask for a room away from this area. Air conditioning, too, is a very noisy irritation. The hotel is pet-friendly but some guests aren't! This is really a guest problem, not a hotel one. If guests kept their dogs under control, the problem would disappear immediately. The TV needs ‘tuning' - very difficult to find stations. At busy times, the pool and tub can become a bit dirty. Room doors are badly fitted so noise can be a feature. Also the smell of mold persists.
