The Chamonix valley is impressive with it sheer cliffs and soaring mountains on either side and it is these features that many guests came to enjoy. Across most reviews the mountain atmosphere and the activities that guests undertook were the highlight of guests reviews with the hotel's central location featuring prominently.

A number of guests who requested help to arrange day trips, taxi, transfers and other services in and around Chamonix appreciated the service and help provided by the hotel's concierge and this was reflected in their reviews.

The food at the on-site restaurant rated very highly across a number of reviews with many comments positively remarking about the delcious menu and service. Other reviews also mentioned how convenient all of Chamonix's restaurants and bars are to the hotel given its central town location.

Hot in Summer
A number of negative comments about the hotel were that there was no air-conditioning which was a problem for some guests during the summer months. The hotel has made it clear to guests in reviews responses that as the hotel is an historic property they are unable to fit air-conditioning units.
