Negative Reviews
negative:
Expect to leave with an empty wallet.
A stay at Glenapp Castle is not for people on a budget. Rates at this hotel are high, and there's a lot at the accommodation that costs extra, which can really inflate the bill.
negative:
Food doesn't match the rest of the experience.
Much about this hotel creates a sense of luxury, but one area that falls a little short is the dining. On-site is a restaurant that is promoted as offering award winning cuisine, but many guests are disappointed with their meals; which don't measure up to the rest of their stay and are too pricey.
negative:
Property is a little too spacious at times.
The interior and grounds of Glenapp Castle is expansive, and guests can feel as though they are lord of the manor during their stay. They can also feel isolated during times of low bookings. When vacancies are high this property can feel empty and even spooky.
