The beach is just a few minutes' walk away and in less than ten-minutes' walk guests can reach the Cathedral of Amalfi, Municipal Museum of Amalfi, Cloister of Paradise and the Paper Mill Museum. Amalfi square as well as selection of cafes, bars and restaurants are with a five-minute walk.
Whilst centrally located, Hotel Floridiana also provides a quiet sanctuary that's hidden from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. The hotel's atmosphere is quiet and relaxing and guests can enjoy the rooftop terrace with jacuzzi and sun loungers which offers views of the neighbouring mountains. Contributing to the ambience of the property, the staff are also friendly, welcoming and attentive. Staff are also knowledgeable about the local area and can make recommendations on places to visit and dine.
The bathrooms are modern and the guest rooms are clean, comfortable and furnished beautifully in a style that combines classic and contemporary design. Most guests gave positive reviews of their experience regarding comfort, cleanliness and atmosphere and commented that they would return again.
The rooms offered vary in size and some guests found their room to be small and not suited to comfortably accommodated two people plus suitcases.
The entrance of the hotel has a set of narrow stairs to climb before reaching the courtyard. Some guests with heavy luggage found this a little difficult to navigate.
Some guests found the central location to be occasionally noisy with street sounds particularly at night. Most guests found that this was easily remedied by shutting the windows.
