The property also boasts ample free parking (self-parking), barbecue grills, multilingual staff and an outdoor heated pool accessible at Timberline Lodge (1.8 miles away). Each room is entirely self-contained so no additional meals (including breakfast) is served on the property. Guests can make their own meals, make use of the barbecue grills or head into town for breakfast. The property is well-situated and is just seven minutes from the center of Big Bear Lake Village and just under two miles from the Snow Summit Mountain Resort.

Each cabin is equipped with a real wood burning fireplace and there are usually at least two types of wood provided for the fireplace in each cabin which is a very handy service. It is important to note however, that this wood is provided at an additional fee. .
Strangely the check-in procedure must be completed at another location that is not on the property which can be very inconvenient, particularly at the end of a long drive. This is also where one can find the heated pool (both are at the Timberline Lodge 1.8 miles away).
