About Carbery Cottage Guest Lodge

Guests are charmed by the beautiful location, the friendly proprietors, and the wonderful breakfasts. Mike and Julia are happy to provide excellent evening meals by arrangement during your stay, and they will help you to plan your activities during your stay too. The house is situated ten miles west of Bantry town in a quiet location half way between Durrus and Ahakista. It is set in 4 acres of grounds, some lawned, and others kept as fields and rough pasture with ponds as a nature trial. Carbery Guest Lodge is a pet-friendly, but pets must be kept under strict control at all times. There are ducks, chickens, ponies and a goat within the grounds. The house has views over Dunmanus Bay and the Mizen Head, and it is only 0.5 miles from the sea. It’s an ideal base for walking the Sheep’s Head Way, and Mike and Julia offer free “drop offs” & “pick ups” so you can base your walking holiday from your own “home from home.”
