Everything is so easily accessible. If you're hooked on fishing, the harbor is a 5+ minute walk away. Point Lorna, the busy center and the airport, are all nearby. The Zoo and Sea World are less than 15 minutes away.

The local trolley and bus system is perfect for getting you to St. John's Pass by St. Petersburg ... and beyond. The easiest way to get around, though, is by bicycle - and the hotel will help with hire arrangements.

Breakfast choices are great. They change daily, so no risk of boredom and the quality is good. Just the thing to set you up for a busy day ahead.

The harbor springs into life at about 7am, which is reasonable, given the workers' chosen lifestyle.Closer to home, the air con is noisy throughout the night, so you are awake, even before the harbor workers start. It must depend upon the room location but some 'harbor view' rooms just can't see it at all.

Because of the proximity to the harbor - even if you can't actually see it, there is an ever present smell of fish. After a while, it gets 'everywhere'! Not a huge problem for most, but for those with a fish allergy; specify hotel requirements in advance.

There are small rooms with no views at all. Staff wish that either they, or you, were somewhere else. There is serious disinterest in the plight of guests. In the event of a serious concern, refunds are as rare as hens' teeth.
