Jugend und Familiengästehaus Heilgenblut is a hostel in Hohe Tauern National Park. It offers 94 beds and is situated at the foot of the 3797 m high Mount Großglockner, right next to the village´s famous church at a height of 1300 m. The property offers spacious, comfortable rooms, most of them with shower and toilet. Two large common rooms with sunbathing balcony, family corners and satellite TV are awaiting guests. Right next to the house you can find an indoor swimming pool with sauna, whirlpool and solarium and an alpine garden with a rock-climbing wall. Mountain climbing, hiking, experiencing nature in an enchanting alpine mountain region, observing animals, trekking tours and daily or weekly programs are just some of the appealing activities from spring to autumn. During the winter months December through April Heiligenblut is a skiing region with lots of snow, well maintained slopes, cross country skiing courses, cleared hiking trails, an ice skating rink and lots more. The skiing lifts are just 5 minutes’ walk from the hostel. For the youngest guests there is a lift right next to the hostel.
