Guesthouse Rodeway Inn (Metairie, USA)

Guests liked the location of the inn close to the airport. The presence of a restaurant and a grocery shop very close to the inn was helpful in stocking up snacks and drinks; especially because there was a fridge and a microwave in the room. The bus stop next to the property took them directly to downtown.

Guests liked the comfortable beds and adequate heating and cooling in the rooms. The bathrooms were clean, and all electrical fittings were found to be functional. The Wi-Fi in the rooms also worked well. There was plenty of storage space in the dresser.

Guests found the pool and the surrounding areas to be clean. The parking area was also spacious.

Guests complained that only cold cereals were served. They were very disappointed with the refrigerated doughnuts. The waffle maker was not working.

Guests found the main building of the inn to be dilapidated. According to them, the whole property needed to be renovated. There was also no lighting in some areas of the parking lot, which could be dangerous. They also noted that the front lobby smelled bad. The carpet is old and dirty, and needs to be replaced. The air conditioners did not work most of the time. There was frost build up in the freezer. The shower in the bathrooms had less water pressure. One guest complained of bugs and cockroaches in the rooms.

There are no lifts in the property. There was also no security in the premises. Hence some guests felt unsafe. The housekeeping staff knocked on the door despite the DND sign outside. The rooms are not soundproofed and offer no views.
