Great for twitchers and walkers
Wildlife lovers will be right at home at this Victorian property, which seems to be especially popular with twitchers (bird watchers) and walkers keen to take in the area's natural attractions. Indeed, past guests reported that this hotel provided excellent access for day trips and excursions to spot otters, eagles, capercaillies and more. Boasting a lecture space, to the delight of many nature-loving guests, it also seems to attract regular talks from well-known wildlife enthusiasts.

Give the muzak a miss
While the food at this hotel was highly rated, a number of guests were bemused by the piped-in muzak featured in this property's dining area.
negative:
Small sausages
While the dinner options here were a real treat, the Scottish breakfasts at this hotel left many wanting more. The tiny sausages - aka, chipolatas - were an odd touch, with a number of guests commenting that they'd just prefer to have a normal-sized banger.
negative:
Slippery sheets
Finally, quite a few guests felt that the beds here could be more comfortable. Many reported ill-fitting sheets and duvets, which, along with giving an untidy appearance, meant that sleepers ended up on mattresses.
