Positive Reviews
positive:
Great in-room tea and coffee facilities
A surprising number of guests went out of their way to comment on how fantastic the in-room tea and coffee making facilities were. It seems that, no matter whether they raided the stock available every day, or used just a little, everything was replaced in full the next morning when the room was serviced.
positive:
Very helpful and friendly staff
It was rare to find a review that did not compliment the hotel’s staff in some way. Guest after guest reported that they were incredibly friendly, offering a warm welcome and pleasant service, as well as being more than willing to help out with useful local information and other matters.
positive:
Convenient location
A number of guests pointed out that the hotel is right by a tram stop, making the Nottingham CBD, and other points in the city, reasonably accessible, even for those without a car
Negative Reviews
negative:
No TV’s in the rooms
A number of guests were (unpleasantly) surprised to find that there was no TV in their room. While it was said that there was a TV lounge with a big screen TV, many guests would have liked the ability to just kick back in their room and watched a show of their own choosing.
negative:
Rooms not well soundproofed
Quite a number of guests mentioned that they could easily hear sounds from both the hallway and adjacent rooms, sometimes resulting in disturbed sleep. The sound of creaking floorboards from the rooms above was said to be especially noticeable
negative:
Tricky road access
Several guests reported difficulty finding the hotel initially, and accessing it from the road even after knowing exactly where it was. This problem was usually attributable to the street design right out front
