Positive Reviews
positive:
Clean and well-furnished rooms.
Every room at the Majestic Hotel in Ocean Grove is lovingly and individually decorated and finished off with antique furniture pieces, adding a nice old-world charm. Rooms are kept spotlessly clean throughout. Beds are comfortable and en suite bathrooms more than adequate for most needs.
positive:
Personal service and attention.
The staff complement at this boutique hotel is small and close-knit which helps to keep a nice ambience and intimacy to the property. Staff give each guest complete personal attention, without becoming overbearing, and ensure that all needs are met, promptly and efficiently.
positive:
Close to beach and surrounds.
The Majestic Hotel is not only a block away from the beach, but is also within walking distance of neighboring hamlets which offer a beautiful and peaceful walk through the area. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained and offers many wonderful places from which one can appreciate the magnificent surroundings.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Limited parking is not private.
The onsite parking is not private and is completely open to non-guests and residence of the area visiting the beach. This makes parking unpredictable and quite limited so it is advisable to park early or simply walk to the nearest destination, if possible.
negative:
Some rooms may be too small.
Some of the guest rooms may be too small for larger parties or families and it is a good idea to check ahead before making a final booking. Smaller rooms are perfectly adequate for couples however, but are fairly narrow and more on the ‘cozy' side of the spectrum.
negative:
Thin walls in some rooms.
Many guests have noted that some rooms seem to have fairly thin walls or poor sound insulation, making it very easy to overhear conversations in the next room as well as other guests moving around the property.
