About Cambrian House
The grade II listed Cambrian House provides en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of Llangollen.
Built in the 1800s as a coaching inn; rooms at the Cambrian House now include free Wi-Fi, colour television and beverage making facilities.
There is ample secure parking for guests’ vehicles and the railway station is nearby. The guest house is a relaxing place to return to following days exploring the Dee Valley, the nearby canal and the Llangollen to Carrog steam railway.
Breakfast comprises continental, vegetarian, gluten free and full cooked choices. Packed lunches are available and the Beehive Restaurant is open to guests and public for evening dining and drinks selections.
Guests can enjoy water sports on the River Dee, cycling on the Llandegla bike course, sightseeing to include the abbey and castle; not forgetting Plas Newydd House; home of the 'Ladies of Llangollen'.

Naturally enthusiastic, the owners are keen to welcome you to the guest house and to an enjoyable visit to Llangollen. There are some imperfect things with this place but the owners and their friendly hospitality is 100% and second to none.

There is more than ample breakfast choice. It’s well presented and served by friendly efficient staff. Breakfast is a joy and difficult to ‘knock’.

Start with the bathroom. If that isn’t spotless, it’s unlikely that other areas will be in pristine condition. So, the floor here is not at all clean. On top of that; banister rails on the very steep stairs leading to top floor rooms are, quite literally,

The car park is the first impression and it’s enough to make you want to turn round – if only there was room to do so! – and leave. It’s frankly, a mess and the really nice owners must surely take the bull by the horns and undertake a major revamp. It can

The road outside is busy and curtains thin. Some form of blackout would be a welcome addition.
