Beachcomber Resort & Club (Pompano Beach, USA)

The Beachcomber Resort is a lovely place of accommodation for guests looking for a holiday by the beach with opportunities for golfing, shopping and entertainment. The Pompano Beach is literally at the door step of the resort and the resort itself is located on a private beach. The downtown area for guests to shop, dine and enjoy the vibrant night life is a 20-minute drive. Golfing at Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course is ten minutes away and the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is ten kilometers from the resort.

Accommodations are available in rooms, suites and villas at the resort. Rooms have a British Colonial style decor with comfortable furnishings. Large size beds and premium bedding make sleeping a luxury. The rooms feature flat screen satellite televisions and tea or coffee makers. Upgraded rooms add microwaves and fridges and/or a pantry and kitchen area. Balconies are also present offering ocean views, either partly or full-fledged views. Suites add a kitchenette and villas have additional living rooms with sofas.

The resort has two outdoor pools lined by loungers for guests to have a relaxing swim and rest. Alternately they can head to the beach waters directly from the resort. The resort offers complimentary passes to a local gym if guests want a workout. The dining is a relaxed activity with the restaurant by the pool or facing the ocean. The menu is wide and varied and serves delicious sea food as well. The poolside Tiki Bar serves cocktails and snacks. Parking is complimentary and space is ample to accommodate even large sized vehicles.

Staff is unresponsive and does not attend to guests' needs. The staff members are rude too. The service scenario is the same in the restaurant as waiters do not attend to guests not offering menus and water or taking the food order.

Rooms are subjected to constant noise from the air conditioner and construction at a nearby site.

Wi-Fi is slow and connects intermittently. Guests find the resort prices steep, especially the food and drinks; not really value for money.
